Gray examines a passage in the 9-10th century Persian historian Tabari's History of the Prophets and Kings which associates Lohrasp, a figure of Iranian mythology, with the historical Babylonian king Nebuchadrezzar II (604-561 B.C.), destroyer of Jerusalem in 597 B.C.
